Sunset Figure

Experimenting with watercolor and color schemes.  I was going for pinks, purples, and warm golds.... kind of looks like a sunburn though, haha.

I do really enjoy how the background came out.

This was just a personal exercise.

Geisha Mixed Media

Paper Cranes and Geishas...

A follow up to my Indian bride, this is my Geisha letting her hair down.  This mixed media includes watercolor, acrylic, ink, sheer and satin ribbon, seed beads, origami crane, and handmade papers.

Bollywood Mixed Media

Behind the Veil



This is probably my favorite work of mine, for some reason I'm real attached to it.  I was teaching a Bollywood class at The Summer Place and became really interested in Indian culture.  I was inspired my the costumes and bright cheerful Indian weddings, and the idea of a whole personality being hidden behind a veil...


I really enjoyed making the mat for this one... sorry the picture has so much glare.
